Guinea
VANEX is assisting and supporting over 7000 farmers in Papua
New Guinea. The PNG farming community has used personal resources
to build up an industry that will replace Madagascar in the
years to come. Sustainable planting methods along with
Rainforest Vanilla ® registration has made this region
one of the most successful on the planet.
Haiti Our efforts in Haiti are just beginning. Since there
is little rainforest left in Haiti, we are encouraging women's
groups and school children to learn reforestation practices
through vanilla.
Costa Rica
Rainforest Vanilla is currently grown in the Atlantic
area of Costa Rica. Rainforest Vanilla plantations are characterized
by their rich biodiversity. The Rainforest Vanilla Conservation
Society (Economically supported by VANEX) maintains a research
station to provide the latest scientific insight in vanilla
production.
